Dr. Yuen listened to everything i had to say without interupting. Even about our personal life as well as my worries about my grand daughter. He was very througher when he examined Ellie. He was polite and friendly and gave me a compliment that touched me very much. My grand daughter lives with me and to have someone in the medical profession say that in their opinion i am a wonderful Grandmother means a lot and i am very grateful.

I was very pleasedwith my consultation. Dr Yuen saw my daughter at very short notice, took time to listen to my concerns, took them seriously and was very reassuring.

Although Dr Yuan was very likeable and approachable and did listen to our concerns, We walked out of there having asked every question we felt we wanted to ask but with no answers... I feel no further forward with finding a diagnosis as to why my son gets flair ups of eczema (which is now spreading over his body) and I do not accept that my son does not have an allergy to something which is causing this. I am continuing to search for someone whether it be NHS or otherwise to simply test my son for the 3 culprits I suspect. And if I am wrong then so be it but I have a nagging doubt I am not. Maybe the recent suggestions on how doctors could change the way they deal with suspected allergies that has been in the press could help future childrens suffering to be nipped in the bud sooner.

Response from Dr Sebastian Yuen

Thank you for this feedback. If you would like to contact me, I will ask my colleague who leads the children's allergy service to give you a second opinion. Best wishes Sebastian Yuen
